Paula Dansker B 2016

Paula Dansker, Area VII Vice President

In April 2016 Paula was elected Area VII VP.

Paula Dansker joined NARFE Shenandoah County Chapter 2358 in March 2010 while she was still an active Federal employee with the Central Intelligence Agency.  Paula started her federal career in 1988. She held several positions throughout the Agency as a Human Resource Officer.  Paula received her Human Resource Management certificate from Villanova University. Prior to her federal service, Paula managed several restaurants and cafeterias for Guest Services Inc. to include Government Accounting Services as well as the National Gallery of Art. Before working for GSI, Paula was with the Marriott Corporation in the Restaurant Management Division.  Paula retired from the Agency in August 2014.

Paula has a passion for helping people so it was no surprise when she was asked to take over as the Alzheimer Chairperson for her chapter in November 2014. Paula has assisted the Region X Alzheimer Chair at the VFC Conventions as well as NARFE National Conventions. She took over as Service Officer for Chapter 2358 in March of 2015 and assists five other Chapters with their Service Officer issues.  Paula was awarded as Service Officer of the Year for VFC and for Region X at the 2016 VFC Convention.

Paula is married to former Area VII VP, Steve Dansker.  Together, they have six grown kids and 15 grandchildren. Paula and Steve live in beautiful Shenandoah County near Bryce Ski Resort.  Paula enjoys several creative hobbies to include crocheting, sewing, quilting, glass art, rubber stamping, and scrapbooking; however, if you were to ask Steve, he’d say her hobby is renovating their home.  She will also build or repair a piece of furniture if need be.
